My review of the Warhammer 40K Space Marines game. Oooo, it is soooo pretty. And really embodies the WH40K universe. And while you can't play a female character, they have a really awesome, capable, dressed female NPC.

Hey, not sure if anyone here plays warhammer 40k but I'm building a themed dark eldar army and looking to swap the Scourges bat wings for feathered ones if anyone has some? Will post pics of the army once I've actually started painting it :D

Hi! I'm Ada! And I hear you're supposed to make introductory posts 'round here!

Here's where I am in my life right now: Last week I ran the last session EVER of a D&D 3.5 campaign I've been running weekly for just over three years (along with my faithful co-DM, who used to be a plain ol' player until his character turned into the BBEG. Long story.) It was a very happy ending. Now I'm bouncing around thinking of what might come next.

My dad was a big gamer in college, so by the time I was nine or ten I was already poking around in all his giant shelves full of rule books. I've only actually *played* D&D - well, that, and a whole bunch of hysterically silly freeform games in high school - but I'm familiar with the rules of a bunch of other systems thanks to that youthful poking around time.

Aside from the campaign that just ended, I'm currently playing an obnoxious half-fey bard in someone else's campaign, and there's a friend of mine who's staring up a far-future nanotech RPG in his own homebrew system, which looks interesting. But my true love is running the story, so my faithful co-DM and I are tossing around ideas for a new setting and campaign and researching diceless systems, in which we've taken an interest. It's going to be fun.

In any case, pleased to meet you all!

"I don’t want to bore you by dissecting the entire game. And, well, I’ll be honest, I was drunk for a big chunk of it. This game definitely passes the “Can Mickey successfully navigate it while slightly sloshed?” test. As well as the “Perfect for a quick pick-up game” test. All told, it only took us a couple of hours to play a session, and the pacing was pretty good. Lukas is, however, an excellent GM, and I’m sure that didn’t hurt.

"So, overall, favorable marks for the Leverage RPG."

Hi everyone.

I play Dungeons and Dragons 3.5 with some White Wolf and rarely some Vampire thrown in. Been gaming for a few years but I still have lots to learn about the game and so many things I want to do like a cross-class character or use the prestige class I've created but never got to use because the character invented it for ended up in a TPK. Not going to be able to do it for a long time either cause the class is for gnomes only and my fellow gamers are sick and tired of me always being a gnome or a halfling. My dice collection isn't that big and most of my d10s are borrowed but I have a good selection of characters from various game I've played including my 13th level wizard who is a queen, my gnome cleric who has a fondness for flaming weapons and is very overprotective of her friends, my necromancer in vampire whose based on a cross between Anita Blake and Abby Scuito and is very much mortal, and and then theres my second favorite character my Philodox, Glasswalker who stumbled into her current (and the only pack she's ever known) as a runaway.

So many characters, so little time to game.

We have a birthday D&D game coming up, and I'm wanting to make some form of dice shaped cake in theme with the event.

So far, I'm having trouble finding anywhere that can help me out with the making of such a thing, and wondered if anyone here knew of a recipe, or could point me towards one.

d20 is preferrable, but I'll settle for any of the others if I can find them, although d6 is my last choice (of course, I have to make things hard for myself)

Any help appreciated, and if this post does not belong, let me know and I will take it down. Thanks!

Not a real horse-- but the horse belonging to my D&D 4e fey-pact warlock. The horse is either pure white or pale gray, I haven't decided (and the color may make a difference in the name). My character would want to give the horse a faerie-like name or one with Irish or Scottish sounds (he's very Celtic). I've googled and googled fey names, Irish names, Irish fey horse names, et cetera, until I can't google anymore. Some sound promising, but so far I haven't had that aha! feeling about any of them yet. (Fiona might have been perfect if I had not had a very famous/infamous character by that name already). Oh, and I feel that the horse should be a mare.

I know I shouldn't stress about the name of a fictional horse belonging to a fictional character, but if anyone knows how it is, I bet you ladies do.

Any suggestions?

This is a general request for help from the community. Lately my boyfriend, myself and our group of friends have decided to move from Magic to DnD. This would be fine but I have been volunteered to be the Dungeon Master as I have "the best imagination." As I have a month between now and our first meet-up to actually learn all the rules etc, I wondered if anyone had any useful hints or links to online guides that would help my epic quest to learn everything within a short amount of time. We have copies of all the 4th edition books, and the first pre-made campaign that was released, so I'm not looking for the rules in another format, more just straightforward advice.

Thank you in advance.
